What is SpaceCut?
SpaceCut: Photo Cleaner is an iPhone app that frees up storage by showing your biggest items first. It ranks your largest videos and heaviest months by size, then lets you swipe through them in batches of 10 to keep or cut. It's made by YAY Studios Ltd.
Is SpaceCut free?
Yes, to start. Reviewing your library is free, and your first 100 deletes are free.
After that, SpaceCut Pro unlocks unlimited deletes as a weekly or annual subscription. There's no free trial; the price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy.
Does SpaceCut upload my photos?
No. Your photos and videos are read and analysed on your iPhone only. Nothing about your library is uploaded. See the privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, email or login. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment, and our subscription service receives only an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase receipts to confirm SpaceCut Pro.
What happens when I delete something?
iOS asks you to confirm, and deleted items go to Recently Deleted for up to 30 days. SpaceCut deletes through Apple's Photos framework, so you can recover anything from the Photos app.
iOS frees the space once Recently Deleted is emptied. If you use iCloud Photos, deletions sync to your other devices.
What can SpaceCut clean up?
Photos, Live Photos, videos and screenshots. Start with “Free up space” for your largest videos, or review month by month with filters. SpaceCut remembers where you left off and shows each month's progress.
Does SpaceCut find duplicate photos?
No. SpaceCut focuses on what takes the most space, like large videos and heavy months, and on quick keep-or-cut decisions. It doesn't detect duplicates or similar photos.
How do I cancel or restore SpaceCut Pro?
Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SpaceCut, at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
On a new iPhone, open SpaceCut Settings and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account.
Which devices does SpaceCut work on?
iPhone with iOS 18.5 or later.
